My Review of the Lowrance Elite 7 On August 16, 2013

Here is my review of the Lowrance Elite 7:

Pluses:

Bright wide screen

Accepts Navionics and Lowrance map chips

Internal GPS

DSI model allows side by side viewing of DownScan and regular 200 kHz sonar.

Multiple choices for screens (pages)

Accepts the Point-1 (external GPS module plus heading sensor)

Price

Minuses:

The Elite 7 is best as a standalone model. The HDS is much better for networking; the HDS can add many accessories through networking like radar, weather overlays, StructureScan, waypoint syncing and more.
