How to Find New Fishing Spots Posted on July 10, 2013

I have an easy and quick way to show you how to find new fishing spots. All you need is a boat, buoys, and quality electronics. I search for fish with my sonar until I spot fish, throw the buoy, and then drive around the area to understand the contour, the content of the bottom, and where the fish are. The fish are usually on the best spot! Remember that for future use. I use to do this with an old Eagle flasher.

Vertical Jigging Tips for Catching Walleye Posted on June 15, 2013

It swims, hops, wiggles, sinks, snaps, and twitches to attract fish. A jig does about everything except jump tall buildings and fly. Courtesy of Noel Vick of www.flwoutdoors.com

“I fish fish fish,” said Bruce Samson in a simplistic, matter-of-fact sort of way. His premise surely is not brain surgery, either, but after hearing the good doc explain further, you get the feeling he’s taking you places you have never been before.

Let’s backtrack momentarily, though, and profile the man his peers call Doc. He is actually Dr. Bruce Samson, M.D., a medical doctor who resides in Minnetrista, Minn., a western suburb of Minneapolis. He began practicing family medicine in 1976 and swung to urgent care and the emergency room in 1991.
